MY APPROACH

It is my calling to be a psychologist and use my skill to make a difference in this world, one person at a time.  You may initially come to me because of an overextended problem, anxiety or depression, but will stay because of the quality of understanding, caring, compassion and guidance use receive.    As a very genuine person in the room, I connect with you at a meaningful level.  Together we co-create a sacred space that opens the door to your healing and self-discovery.   I hold hope for you when you've lost yours and I join your journey, wherever that may take us, honoring your courage, heart and trust.  I help you reclaim your inherent value and find more joy and self-love.

As an integrative clinician I work from the framework that you are mind, body, emotion, and spirit. Our work together moves toward reclaiming those parts and bringing them into harmony. I may refer to complimentary integrative professionals and will collaborate with your psychiatrist if you have one and so desire.   I employ a broad spectrum of traditional and alternative therapeutic techniques to fit your unique needs and personality.

MY IDEAL CLIENT

I have dedicated my career to understanding healthy relationships;  whether it is the one you have with yourself or with others.   My ideal client not only wants to feel better or know how to manage anxiety,  he/she also wants to have a positive relationship with him/herself and feel more connected to loved ones.

Some of my clients have heard of, read or listened to Brené Brown and wants to put her wisdom into practice to live more authentic, courageous, and wholehearted lives. As a Certified Daring Way™ therapist in North County San Diego, I am trained to help individuals like you implement Brené Brown's transformative work into your life - be it via Daring Way therapy groups or individual therapy.

Whether or not you've heard of Brené Brown, most people will recognize an unhealthy relationship in their lives -whether it be with themselves or someone else.  You may complain of life dissatisfaction, of not knowing who you are, of lacking purpose or meaning, of being disconnected from others, of feeling depressed or anxious, of feeling stuck and not knowing how to navigate out of your problem.   We initially work on intolerable symptoms but engage in deeper work to reach the core of your immediate suffering to produce lasting change.  Over the years, I have noticed that adults with childhood trauma or significant emotional injuries have an even more challenging relationship with themselves.  This led me to get certified in trauma work and combine it with Brene Brown's research to help such adults heal and become the person they needed when they were a child.
